Cardboard Colour-In Playhouses

Meet our colour-in playhouses -- like a cross between a Wendy House, a cardboard fort, and a giant colouring-in book.

We wanted to create something that our kids would love, that would spark creativity and open ended play, and that would keep our kids happy and entertained for long stretches. Why a colour-in playhouse?:

• Kids love them: Every child we have shown them to so far has absolutely loved them. One of our friend's kids has been insisting on sleeping in hers.
• Hours of entertainment: Parents love them too because they provide days of entertainment -- perfect for school holidays, bad weather days, or cabin fever
• Open-ended play: One day our playhouse is a farmhouse, a tractor, or an ice cream shop. The next day it's a secret fort (no parents allowed!), or the inspiration for a new fairytale. The next, it's a canvas for little artists to design their very own house. The possibilities are endless!
• Great for gifts and parties: They are also an excellent gift, and as a fun-filled centrepiece activity for a birthday party, a school project, or a big family gathering
• Spacious: These playhouses are roomy -- big enough for school-aged kids and for siblings to play together -- measuring about 96 cm long and 86 cm wide, with a height of 122cm at the top of the roof
• Quick assembly: Our playhouses come in two large pieces and can be assembled in about 5 minutes. Please follow the provided instructions
• Sturdy cardboard: They are made of sturdy cardboard and are designed to give that "cardboard fort" feeling while still holding up to enthusiastic play. You may choose to reinforce the interior with some tape if your house is getting particularly heavy use
• Blank canvas: Decorate your playhouse with your own art supplies: crayons, oil pastels, poster paint, acrylic paint, khokis, blunt coloured pencils, stickers, and glued on accessories all work well. Watercolours and water based paint can work too -- however, please bear in mind that cardboard softens when exposed to too much water. Please note that art supplies are not included
• Disposable: When it's time to move on, our cardboard playhouses are recyclable as sold. Please bear in mind that art supplies may not be recyclable. Please check with your local authority or recycling association
